Version 1.0.1 of Equivalence has just been released on Apple's App Store, and a big update it is. I've had a lot of great feedback from users that has been incorporated into this version, as well as one new feature that I think really puts Equivalence far ahead any other conversion utilities on the iPhone or iPod Touch.
Equivalence now includes an auto-update feature which will allow me to post updates to the already extensive library of unit conversions and physical constants at any time, bypassing the long update queues for updates to get through to the App Store. This means I can provide users with unparalleled turn-around time on unit requests and conversion fixes (though we'll hope there aren't many of these!) Nearly instant, in fact, or at least as quickly as I can respond to emails.
The full list of Equivalence's additions in version 1.0.1 is available after the break. I've also posted the full list of conversions that are currently available, and this will be updated as the library is updated.
New Features:
- Unit database now has a built-in automatic update to enable additional units and types over the air between AppStore releases. Please contact dev(at)apogee-dev(dot)com if there are still any units or types you would like to see added.
- New option added to save the last used conversions for each type in portrait mode (default on)
- New option added to save the state of the app on close (default off)

- Portrait: Conversion updated when changing unit picker instead of when the panel is closed
